Pentair Achieves Low-Lead Certification with NSF 61 Approval for End Suction Pump Product Lines

March 14, 2016

North Aurora, ILL. - Pentair has achieved NSF Standard 61 approval, which provides assurance that health protection exists for covered products in contact with drinking water, for its 1600 and 3800 Series End Suction pumps sold under the Fairbanks Nijhuis® and Aurora® brands, respectively.  The 1600 and 3800 Series pumps were previously certified to NSF 372 for lead content. With the addition of NSF 61, the pumps meet the highest level of certifications possible for pumps used with potable water, and are certified to meet or exceed the safety standards set forth in the low-lead requirements of the 2014 U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act.
